AUSTRALIA’S NEWEST STUDENT ACCOMMODATION PROVIDER WELCOMES FIRST STUDENTS IN BRISBANE
Prompted by strong demand for quality student accommodation in Brisbane, Australia’s newest provider of premium student accommodation, Urbanest, will officially welcome its first residents in February. Located at South Bank, the opening of the new student community signals a significant milestone for the company, which launched in Australia in 2008. As developer, owner and operator of the purpose-built community, Urbanest will be providing 713 much-needed student rooms in a safe and secure community. Urbanest Managing Director Jonathan Gliksten said, “As student numbers in Australia grow, the demand for high quality, safe accommodation puts pressure on the country’s main academic cities, and this is where Urbanest comes in. “Brisbane is a major hub for domestic and international students alike and we are excited to be setting the standard for accommodation as Brisbane’s booming education industry continues to grow,” Mr Gliksten said.“Urbanest South Bank will boost Brisbane’s appeal as an ideal student living destination – for local, regional and international students and will offer something different to what has traditionally been available to students.“All Urbanest South Bank residents will have their own ensuite bathroom, personal air conditioning, broadband internet connection and private study space, and can make the most of an all-inclusive rent payment covering off utilities, internet and rent in one bill. “Urbanest South Bank will also have 24/7 security and hospitality services,” he said. Students can choose to live in a studio apartment or in a bedroom as part of a four, five or six bed apartment complete with kitchen and living room from $265 per week. Some rooms are still available to rent for 2010. Urbanest South Bank has an outdoor entertainment area complete with barbecues, as well as a communal foyer area complete with an entertainment lounge with cable television, pool tables and group study spaces.
