In December 2010, the government appointed the Hon Michael Knight AO to conduct the first strategic review of the student visa program to help enhance the quality, integrity and competitiveness of the student visa program. On the 22 September the report was released, outlining 41 recommendations in regards to the Student Visa program. The first stage of changes to the student visa program from the Knight Review recommendations came into effect on 5th November.

Brisbane Marketing and Urbanest partner to enhance international student experiences

In a move to enhance international student experiences in Brisbane, Urbanest, Australia’s newest provider of student accommodation has partnered with Brisbane Marketing’s Study Brisbane program. The partnership will assist in the marketing and awareness of the City’s new world-class student residential offering, targeting the estimated 80,000 new international students in 2010.
