academic & language requirements
school students: Experienced staff will place each student in a year level which is comparable to the level of education they have already achieved. Students must achieve at least a pass or better in their core subjects in their own country.
english language schools: Most schools take beginners.
tertiary schools: Acceptance to tertiary education can vary depending on the institution, but generally they accept,
completed recognised upper-secondary or equivalent Year 12 studies to the required standard. Along with, English language requirements to
the specific course standard and in some satisfied individual program requirements.(i.e. specific subject prerequisites, audition or interview)
When applying for a student visa, you will be required to show evidence of English language proficiency. Depending on your proposed study sector you will need to have a minimum score in the IELTS English language proficiency test and/or a period of English language tuition.
Vocational education and training courses also require students to have a sufficient level of English language proficiency. These will differ, so you need to check with the institution what English language proficiency tests are recognised by that institution and what the minimum scores are for each course.
