how to apply
Once your have decided on the course you would like to study, and where you would like to study it, it’s time to apply directly to the institution.
There will be quite a bit of paperwork to provide when applying for your course, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time before the course starting date to apply.
You will need application forms, which you can get from either a local Australian education agents, or the institutions nominated contact officer. The Australian Education Centre , or Australian Embassy in your country will be able to provide a list.
Documents you may have to also supply with your application form include:
- Full details of any previous study you have completed, including copies of any qualifications you may already have.(Students who have completed previous tertiary study may apply for credit at some institutions.
- Evidence of your English language proficiency (for undergraduate and postgraduate studies and vocational education and training.
2. submitting your applications
Once all the paperwork is complete, applications need to be sent directly to the institution to which you are applying.
Your application will be assessed by your chosen institution and if you meet all requirements, you will be offered a place to attend. If you are successful you will receive a letter confirming this offer – which you will need for your visa application.
Other important things to note:
- You may be required to undergo a pre-visa assessment before the institution issues an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE). The eCoE is the only accepted evidence of enrolment for processing student visa applications.
- You may be required to pay tuition fees before applying for the student visa. The institution will advise you of its requirements but generally it will require payment of at least one semester of course fees.
