endeavour awards

The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to do the same abroad.

The Endeavour Awards aim to develop ongoing education, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries. They also provide opportunities for high-achieving individuals to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness. Home and host organisations also benefit from the collaboration, establishing or enhancing existing regional linkages, and providing opportunities for longer term cooperation.

Endeavour Awards categories include: Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Awards; Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards; and Executive Awards. Awards range from four months to three years and conditions vary between Awards.

endeavour postgraduate and postdoctoral awards

Endeavour Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Awards enable high achieving international students to undertake a postgraduate qualification either by coursework or research in their chosen field of study in Australia. Awards range from four months to three years and conditions vary between awards.

Awards in this category include:

  • Endeavour Postgraduate Awards
  • Endeavour Research Fellowships
  • Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships
  • Endeavour Research Fellowships for Indigenous Australians (link to brochure)
  • Endeavour Europe Awards

endeavour executive awards

Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities for high achievers in business, industry, education or government from participating countries. These Awards aim to deepen professional engagements between Australia and participating countries

The Awards focus on building skills and knowledge through a host work environment rather than through formal enrolment in a study program at a host institution and are not intended to fund direct academic research. This Award provides individuals with the flexibility to design a program that advances both their professional and personal goals.

Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards

The Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards provide financial support for up to 2.5 years for international students from participating countries to undertake vocational education at a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in any field of study in Australia.

The Endeavour VET Awards aim to further develop Award Holders’ knowledge and skills in their area of expertise and build linkages and networks between Australia and participating countries.

applying is easy

The online application system guides applicants through the process, providing help at every step. Eligible applications are assessed by independent selection panels of academics and professionals in Australia. This transparent, merit-based selection process ensures the integrity of the Awards.

ongoing support

To ensure award holders gain the most from their award experience, they receive ongoing support from a dedicated case manager. They can also share their journey with other award holders from around the globe.

Once successfully completed, they become members of the Endeavour Awards Alumni Network through which they can maintain the personal and professional links and friendships made during their award
